Rutgers hosted Maryland, led by former Seton Hall head coach Kevin Willard, at Jersey Mike's Arena on Thursday.

After leading Rutgers with an elite performance at Purdue, point guard Paul Mulcahy was spectacular once again on Thursday, finishing with 15 points on 6-of-6 shooting, two steals, one assist and a turnover in 32 minutes. In the past two games, Mulcahy has scored 31 points on 13-of-19 shooting, dished seven assists, grabbed eight rebounds, collected five steals and committed a single turnover in 69 minutes.

Rutgers and its elite defensive were dominant once again, particularly in a first half where it held the Terrapins to 17 points on 25% shooting while forcing 12 turnovers, accounting for 38.7% of Maryland’s 31 possessions. The visitors finished the game with a pitiful 50 points on 41.3% shooting, committing more turnovers than made field goals .
