An ammunition depot caught fire near Russia’s border with Ukraine, a local official said, the latest in a series of incidents to afflict Russian military facilities in regions adjacent to Ukraine in recent weeks
that could pressure supply lines to Russian forces.
The fire at the depot in a village near Belgorod, around 15 miles from the border, was extinguished by early morning Wednesday, according to Vyacheslav Gladkov, the regional governor.
