“I made my way home for the last mile, but I was too excited to even focus. I had to stop for coffee and stare at the photo.”
“He then reached out his hand to shake mine and asked if I wanted a picture,” Barberia said. “In my head, I was like, ‘Why would I ever say no to this?’”
She recalls how friendly DeVito was and how he seemed genuinely excited to take a picture with a fan. “After that, I made my way home for the last mile, but I was too excited to even focus,” she said. “I had to stop for coffee and stare at the photo.”“Every time I head out I hope to see him again, and I’m saying to myself, ‘Maybe if I go one more mile he will be there,’” she said.
