Legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses is suing a Houston gun and ammunition business — which also happens to sell roses — for trademark infringement., is owned by Jersey Village Florist, LLC, the parent company named in the lawsuit. Based in Houston, the store sells a variety of firearms, including pistols, shotguns and rifles, as well as roses.
“As a direct and proximate result of Defendant’s wrongful acts, GNR has suffered and continues to suffer and/or is likely to suffer damage to the GUNS N’ ROSES trademark, and to its business reputation and goodwill,” the lawsuit states. The suit demands a jury for a trial. According to the court documents, the band filed a petition with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board to block Jersey Village Florist, LLC from registering the Texas Guns and Roses domain name and design.
