It played a big role."Sellers has a big time arm and was incredibly productive during his senior season. He threw for just under 3,000 yards while completing 58-percent of his passes and threw 45 touchdowns. Sellers also ran for 1,300 yards and scored 17 rushing touchdowns.
We like what we saw from him on film but it was also impressive to see what he was able to do in person at the Shrine Bowl. South Carolina is getting a quarterback who should be able to run their new offense well and distribute the ball to their playmakers in the open field. Sellers has a knack for finding the end zone with his arm and with his legs and the Gamecocks are hoping that he'll be able to take their offensive production to the next level.
