Rider killed at Ramona track was BMX star, X Games medalist Pat Casey [Breaking]
The 29-year-old man who died after falling while attempting a trick at a BMX track in Ramona on Tuesday was famed BMX rider and X Games medalist Pat Casey.
Bystanders called 911, but Casey had no pulse when paramedics arrived, the office said. Paramedics tried advanced cardiac life-support measures but he could not be resuscitated.California Highway Patrol Officer Jared Grieshaber said Tuesday that Casey had attempted to perform a jump but missed the landing.
