Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information in the May 2022 homicide of a 62-year-old South Linden man.
Around 7 a.m. on May 29, 2022, Lawrence Smith III, 62, was found shot inside his 2005 Jaguar XJR. Columbus police had been called to the 2100 block of Hamilton Avenue, in South Linden, on a report of shots being fired in the area.Detectives were able to determine that Smith had recently bought the car and had been seen often driving it in the area. Investigators believe Smith was robbed and involved in a crash before he was shot. No suspects have been identified in the homicide.
