Red Line service 'to improve' Today
“Metro’s Red Line customers will see more frequent service beginning Monday, December 5, as the transit agency continues to bring more 7000-series trains into service.of 6 – 9 a.m. and 3 – 7 p.m. to alleviate crowding during the busiest weekday hours.
Gradual service improvements are anticipated this winter and into the spring. While railcar availability has been the main challenge to improving frequencies for customers, Metro is also being affected by industry-wide shortages of rail and bus operators that the agency is aggressively working to address.
We appreciate customer’s patience while we continue to add the level of service the region deserves.”
