Ray Lewis III was 28 years old when he died.
According to the site, police say they responded to a call for a medical emergency and found Lewis III unresponsive and receiving CPR from a friend. The site said the report said that another friend was screaming for Narcan, a drug used to treat overdoses.
Police said they searched Lewis III’s room and found a blue pill near him which they said was Alprazolam. They said they also found a used needle, and a small plastic bag inside of a beer can. Lewis III was a star running back at Lake Mary Prep, just outside of Orlando, Florida, before playing collegiately at Miami, Coastal Carolina and Virginia Union. He most recently played for the Wyoming Mustangs in the Champions Indoor Football League, according to the site, and was pursuing a music career.
