The trio of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood with Tom Skinner on drums dazzled the sold-out crowd in the first of its two shows at the venue.
You might glimpse multi-instrumentalist Jonny Greenwood at the Academy Awards, a nominee for composing the scores to films such as “The Power of the Dog” and “Phantom Thread.”

But none of those – Yorke’s brilliant experimentation, Greenwood’s instrumental majesty, O’Brien’s terrific but little-heard solo debut – offered that righteous Radiohead rush.
That hopeful message faded quickly, though, as most of the 19 songs across an hour and 40 minutes, returned to Yorke’s more common concerns and anxieties about the state of the world writ large – climate change, politics, oppression – and small – the ordinary man, woman or child looking for glimmers of hope amid it all.
