Blindspot creator and Quantum Leap executive producer Martin Gero is stepping up as showrunner, replacing former co-showrunners Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt. Lilien and Wynbrandt will both be staying with the show as executive producers. While NBC has yet to give a reason for the switch, there are reports that indicate it may involve late scripts.
Despite these behind-the-scenes changes, it seems that production on the Quantum Leap reboot will continue with few differences. The premiere date remains the same, although there are reports that the pilot will air as episode 3 instead of the series' first episode.
