On Monday, police identified the victims of a triple homicide that happened last week in Woodbridge, Va.
Edwin Geovanny Salmeron, 37; Luis Alonzo Salgado-Rivas, 41; and Kevin Josue Vellecillo Mendoza, 23, all of Woodbridge, were killed.Prince William County Police Department had responded to the 14700 block of Birchdale Avenue on Friday and found a man outside the residence who had been shot. Fire and rescue personnel pronounced the man dead, and police found three more people inside the home with gunshot wounds.
Salgado-Rivas died later that day at the hospital and a third victim, Mendoza, died the following day. A 21-year-old man is expected to survive his injuries, according to police. During a gathering at the home someone began firing a gun, police said, striking the victims and causing others there to flee. The shooting does not appear to be random, police said.
