The number of existing or planned temples worldwide now numbers 300 — with 168 currently operating and 132 either under construction, in preconstruction or undergoing renovation, including the Salt Lake, St. George and Manti temples in Utah. “It is his house,” Nelson said during Sunday afternoon’s closing session of General Conference. “It is filled with his power. Let us never lose sight of what the lord is doing for us. He is making his temples more accessible. He is accelerating the pace at which we are building temples. He is increasing our ability to help gather Israel.
“He is also making it easier for each of us to become spiritually refined,” he added. “I promise that increased time in the temple will bless your life in ways nothing else can.”
