"This announcement was an endorsement of the hard work by all stakeholders to develop those regulations. We also note that Porsche are [sic] still in discussions with Formula 1 teams."
The fact that the FIA refers to"teams" in plural suggests that Porsche has not settled on one partner. But given the company's mastery of internal combustion engines and its considerable racing history, Porsche is likely an attractive partner to teams that don't currently produce their own engines. Either way, don't expect to see Porsche join the sport in any real capacity before the engine regulations change for 2026.
