A 71-year-old man was shot Sunday night inside a home in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, and police are searching for two women. GainerTV reports.
It happened Sunday night just after 5 p.m. A 71-year-old man was shot was shot in the bottom floor of a home. Many elderly residents live on the street. "It's really scary to know something like that happened on the block, because usually this is a very quiet safe neighborhood and I'm really sorry to hear that," said another.
One next door neighbor who did not want to appear on camera said he is not surprised it happened because he's seen women coming and going from the bottom floor residence. Police sources say the shooting does not appear to be random. The victim may have known at least one of the two female suspects. The house is vacant but we're told the victim has been living in the bottom floor for awhile.
Police sources say the victim told police he knows one of the two female suspects and has helped her with money before. They asked him for $5,000 to help a friend in jail, but he told officers that when he said he didn't have that kind of money, they argued, and he was shot.
