The 36-year-old South Toms River man had multiple gunshot wounds when he arrived in a private vehicle.

Authorities are investigating the death of a 36-year-old man brought to a Toms River hospital Wednesday night with multiple gunshot wounds by two people who then fled, officials said. Jimmy Mosely, of South Toms River, was pronounced dead at Community Medical Center after arriving at the hospital unresponsive, theThe driver who brought Mosely to the hospital departed in the vehicle while a passenger fled on foot, officials said.

Investigators are trying to learn the circumstances of the shooting, including where he was shot, as well as find the driver and passenger. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Denis Mitchell of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-929-2027, extension 2476, or Toms River police at 732-349-0150, ext. 1297.
