Two fire department divers responded to the scene at noon and searched for the swimmer in the water, according to an FDNY spokesperson, but after about an hour nobody was found. The NYPD, which has taken over the search, said a 14-year-old teen was with the other boy, but was in stable condition. Police said they were still searching for the 15-year-old as of about 3:30 p.m.“First responders are on the scene in Coney Island searching for a 15 year old boy suspected of drowning,” Council Member Ari KaganThis is a developing story and will be updated.
