The Pokémon Horizons anime is setting out on a quest to explore the mines of Galar in episode #21, hoping to once again find a clue as to the location of the Black Rayquaza but instead meeting a new friend. What Happened in Pokémon Horizons Episode #20? Episode #20 of Pokémon Horizons picked up where episode #19 left off, with Liko and Roy meeting a Galar gym leader named Kabu for the first time. Kabu is originally from the Hoenn region, and Roy hopes he might know something about Rayquaza.
Pokémon Horizons Episode #21 Will Introduce a New Friend In the preview for Episode #21, it's shown that the group stumble across a lone Hatenna, which seems to be having some trouble. They bring the small Pokémon aboard the ship, and it seems to develop an instant liking for Liko. Hatenna are said to be very in tune with people's emotions and have difficulty tolerating very strong feelings, so the more reserved Liko would be a good fit for Hatenna's trainer.
Liko potentially obtaining a second Pokémon means the next episode could be a fairly important one, and it seems the team will be making it to the Galar mines by episode #22, so dealing with Hatenna won't be too much of a detour. Liko is still learning what it means to be a Pokémon trainer, and picking up a second Pokémon would be a big step forward for her, with her no longer having to rely exclusively on Sprigatito.
