, Conneaut Area Senior High’s season is done with eight games left on its schedule. The team was 4-6 on the season.
The “events” which took place on that trip to Myrtle Beach were not disclosed, according to the newspaper, but the school’s athletic director, John Acklin, said that “14 of the 19 students broke Conneaut School District policy while at Myrtle Beach over Easter while coaches failed to carry out their responsibilities.”
The team will forfeit the remainder of its games, according to the report, and finish the year 4-14 and 2-12 in Region 2. Acklin told the Times the school will play baseball in 2023, but it will do so with a new coaching staff in place.
