Pennsylvania happens to be one of the 'luckiest lottery states' in the U.S.

After leveraging Powerball.com’s Media Center to gather information on how many residents of each state have won the lottery, PennStakes.com managed to establish the top 10. Pennsylvania tied with Wisconsin in fourth overall with 19 winners total.

“It’s been more than five years since the last Powerball winner came out of the state,” reads the study. “In 2018, a whopping $456.7 million jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Lancaster County.”how that $456.7 million ticket sold in Manheim was the largest-ever to be won within the state, remaining so to this day. Other whoppers included a $115.5 million ticket won in 1989, and a $110 million Powerball ticket claimed by a New Jersey couple in 2004.

The top three states in the PennStakes.com study were Minnesota in third ; Missouri in second ; ad Indiana in first .
