Daily News | Penn holds on against Cornell in high-scoring affair
Despite multiple miscues, Penn held off Cornell, 92-86, to extend its winning streak to four games.
Junior guard Jordan Dingle impressed yet again with 27 points and seven rebounds on 9-of-17 shooting, while senior Greg Dolan led Cornell with 29 points, five rebounds, and four assists on 12-of-18 shooting. An early 9-2 Quaker run spearheaded by Dingle pulled Penn in front, 19-12, but Dolan sparked a 12-0 Cornell run as part of his 18-point first half.Cornell’s full-court trap continued to cause issues for the Quakers in the second half. Penn committed 14 turnovers, leading to 19 points off turnovers for the Big Red.
