Police in Emeryville made an arrest after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident.
Authorities responded to the 4400 block of Shellmound St. on Saturday at 1:17 p.m. after a vehicle collided with a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in “critical but stable” condition and remains there with “major” injuries, according to police. Police arrested a 34-year-old San Francisco man who fled on foot at the scene of the incident and was taken into custody a few blocks away. The driver was identified by witnesses and arrested for driving under the influence, fleeing the scene of a collision and gun possession.
