Opinion: Kudos to Randy Spicer, dogs' best friend, for making adoption from Humane Society easier [Opinion]
Some 260 of the nearly 700 animals available for adoption at the Humane Society’s facilities in Escondido, El Cajon, Oceanside and San Diego are dogs older than seven months and thus qualify for the waiver. They have been vaccinated and spayed or neutered. The society also provides training advice, educational information and pet supplies to support pet families.
But please don’t see pets as appropriate gifts. Such decisions often end up leading to those being gifted taking unwanted animals to, yes, the Humane Society.
