Summary Despite being an important setting for the massive universe, Loguetown found itself only briefly explored in the live-action One Piece and co-showrunner Steven Maeda has revealed the reason why. Located in the East Blue and introduced in chapter 1 of Eiichiro Oda's manga, the city covering nearly an entire island was first shown to audiences as the location of Gold Roger's execution, where he announced the existence of the eponymous treasure and invited the world to find it.
The biggest one for me that we didn't get to do was Loguetown in the present day, and we needed two more episodes to be able to do it and there wasn't the budget, there wasn't the screen time. And there wasn't room in the eight episodes to do it the way that it deserved to be done. And so we see Loguetown in the very beginning with Rogers' execution. And then, of course, I wanted to come back to Loguetown and just couldn't fit it in the eight episodes.
