CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The search for the next CEO of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District is nearly complete, after an exhaustive months-long vetting process that focused heavily on community input through surveys, citywide gatherings and small group discussions.
Warren Morgan and Ricardo “Rocky” Torres -- the finalists out of 132 applicants -- aim to succeed Eric Gordon, who, during his 11 years as district CEO, improved what was the worst-performing district in Ohio, led several successful levy campaigns and helped students survive the social and academic fallout of the pandemic.
