SARATOGA – A woman was killed and another was injured in a crash Tuesday morning in Saratoga, authorities said.
The traffic collision was reported at 10:30 a.m. in the 15000 block of Montalvo Road, near Hill Avenue, said Sgt. Russell Davis of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. An initial investigation revealed that the victims were gathering their belongings out of their parked vehicles when they were struck by a driver who was trying to park, Davis said.
One of the victims, described as a woman in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, Davis said. The other victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the deceased victim’s identity once it has been confirmed and her next of kin has been identified.Related Articles
