San Francisco police are investigating the weekend shooting death of a person in the South of Market neighborhood.
The victim died of their injuries after fleeing the shooting in their car, which came to a rest a few hundred feet away at the intersection of 5th and Shipley streets. San Francisco police provided few other details of the shooting, noting that the currently active investigation has determined the shooting occurred on Folsom Street and that no arrests have been made. Police didn't identify the victim, nor any potential suspects or motive.
