Wednesday's loss in Sacramento marked the latest instance of Jalen Green and the Rockets hitting the fourth-quarter wall, with their worst performance yet against the Kings., a 20-point loss to the Kings that had appeared winnable with five minutes left, Rockets forward K.J. Martin was asked his opinion on how to stop the dreadful streak.

Therein lies the problem: Games are 48 minutes, not 36, and the NBA is unlikely to make a rule change to that effect. The Rockets are 7-8 in games where they led after three quarters. Even in games where they are solidly competitive, there inevitably rises a fourth-quarter wall that smacks them in the face.
