The Ohio State men's lacrosse team beat Michigan at Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes will now move on to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.
No. 3 seed Ohio State men’s lacrosse outscored No. 6 Michigan 9-4 in the second half of Saturday's Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal at Ohio Stadium to win 16-10.
With that victory, Ohio State advances to face Rutgers in the tournament's semifinals Thursday in College Park, Maryland. Jackson Reid had five goals, while Colby Smith and Jack Myers scored three apiece. Defenseman Stephen Zupicich recorded two assists. Ohio State goalie Skylar Wahlund made 14 saves., also held off Michigan 14-12 on Sunday in the OSU's regular-season finale.
“Really proud of our men and our staff,” said head coach Nick Myers. “Beating a team twice in six days is real a challenge — especially the rivalry game. Today Skylar was outstanding in goal, and we rallied around his efforts. Now it’s on to College Park and our next challenge.”
