The AP names Ohio State forward E.J. Liddell a third-team All-American.
Ohio State's junior forward, who was a first-team All-Big Ten selection by both the conference's media and coaches, leads the Buckeyes with averages of 19.6 points and 7.9 rebounds this season. Liddell was an honorable mention AP All-American as a sophomore.
Joining Liddell on the AP's third team are Duke forward Paolo Banchero, Villanova guard Collin Gillespie, Walker Kessler of Auburn, Baylor's James Akinjo and JD Notae from Arkansas. The latter two players tied for the last spot. Three Big Ten players landed on the AP's first team, with Iowa forward Keegan Murray, Illinois center Kofi Cockburn and Wisconsin guard Johnny Davis – the Big Ten Player of the Year – all earning the honor.
