NTSB to begin hearings in East Palestine on train derailment this week

The National Transportation Safety Board will hold two days of investigative hearings into last February’s train derailment.

Tank car derailment damage and crash worthiness.

The hearings will be on Thursday, June 22, and Friday, June 23, at East Palestine High School. The public is invited to attend but will not be allowed to ask questions. NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy will meet with the public on Wednesday at 6 p.m., also at the High School., the Federal Railroad Administration, and The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. Also experts on hazardous materials and first responder groups.
