Investigation reveals a North Pole woman sold fentanyl to another person, which resulted in their death on July 7.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - On August 25, 2022, 35-year-old Samantha L. Pearson, from North Pole, was arrested by the Alaska State Troopers and the Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit after investigation revealed that Pearson sold fentanyl to another person, which resulted in their death on July 7.
Pearson’s arrest came after first responders found 32-year-old Adam Sakkinen unconscious at a single-vehicle car accident in late June, according to charging documents. Medics used Narcan, an opioid overdose reversal drug, to revive Adam and he was transported to the hospital where he was put on life support. A lab report confirmed high levels of fentanyl were found in Adam’s blood, according to court records.
