Nolan Jones made quite the first impression playing at home for the first time in his Major League career. In his Progressive Field debut, Jones went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs to help power the Guardians past the White Sox, 8-4, on Monday night.

Jones’ eight RBIs in his first four games tied Roy Weatherly in 1936 for the most in Cleveland baseball history since RBIs were recorded as a stat in 1920. Jones had a pair of two-run hits in the game, singling home a pair in the first inning and doubling in two more in the fifth. The two-run double in the fifth gave Cleveland a 7-4 lead and chased White Sox starter Lance Lynn, who gave up eight runs on nine hits in four innings.
Franmil Reyes also had a very good night as he went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. He also got the fifth stolen base of his major league career when he took second in the sixth.
