Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line rail service has resumed with limited service after Amtrak overhead wire issues caused suspensions.
Friday's suspension started around 6:00 a.m. when overhead power issues resurfaced north of Metropark. That is the same area where service problems originated on Thursday.However the morning commute for many travelers at Newark Penn Station was either canceled or delayed.
Amtrak trains were running with delays and speed restrictions between New York and Philadelphia. All Keystone trains were canceled between the two cities and were only operation between Philadelphia and Harrisburg.
