Freddy Krueger is terrifyingly brought to life in an impressive new Nightmare on Elm Street cosplay. First released in 1984, Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street introduces Robert Englund's dream-walking killer, sparking a franchise that now consists of eight films in total, in addition to one crossover. Although not all of the films have been received well, Freddy Krueger is now cemented as one of the most iconic and scary villains in horror movie history.

The cosplay takes things one step further, however, also capturing his horribly burnt face.
What's Next For The Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise After numerous sequels to the first A Nightmare on Elm Street throughout the 1980s and '90s , the franchise was rebooted in 2010. The reboot, simply called A Nightmare on Elm Street, was a commercial success but a critical flop, earning mostly poor reviews from audiences and critics alike.
In 2015, it was announced that New Line was working on an additional A Nightmare on Elm Street remake from screenwriter David Leslie, but the project ultimately languished in development hell and never got off the ground. In 2019, the rights to the franchise reverted back to the Craven estate, who were open to pitches for either feature films or even TV series. Unfortunately, however, news on the reboot has been hard to come by since and there have seemingly been no developments.
