The company in question is San Francisco-based Lyft, which faces a state requirement to have most of its fleet comprised of electric vehicles by 2030. Lyft, seeking government assistance in achieving this requirement, has spent $15 million in support of the measure.
"It was devised by a single corporation to funnel state income taxes to benefit their company," Newsom says in the ad."Put simply, Prop. 30 is a Trojan horse that puts corporate welfare over fiscal welfare of our entire state."
