A brand new Young Sheldon season 6 trailer sees Meemaw going up against Mary's church. The Big Bang Theory spin-off is officially wrapping up its mini-hiatus as it returns with a fresh episode this week. Young Sheldon season 6 has been focused on seeing the Coopers cope with their new normal following Georgie and Mandy's pregnancy news. Despite the tumultuous end of season 5, things are finally starting to settle down with Sheldon and his family.

In a new Young Sheldon season 6, episode 8 trailer , Sheldon's grandmother fights off Mary's church as they try to shut down her business and reveal themselves as Young Sheldon's true villain.
It will be difficult to gauge Mary's reaction once she finds out about Meemaw's conflict with her church. While Sheldon's mother has been doing a great job keeping her distance, The Big Bang Theory has established Mary's fate - she will eventually return to her old ways as a devout Christian. This means that, ultimately, she could choose to side with Pastor Jeff about this new issue.
Aside from the Church's involvement in this plotline, this could be how Mary eventually finds out the truth about Meemaw's expanding business. At this point, both Mandy and Georgie are already involved in covering up her illegal gambling den. If it goes sideways, the couple will also be jammed up with charges as co-conspirators.
