Saskatchewan will develop its own provincial firearms ballistics lab to facilitate this testing, which will also be available to law enforcement for use during criminal investigations. Tell said the buy back program amounts to “the federal government confiscating private property,” and the province is looking to support those with valid possession and acquisition gun licences.Article content
In September, Tell rebuked the federal government’s plan to buy back guns, telling Saskatchewan RCMP that the province won’t fund Ottawa’s program.
