Apple is reportedly collaborating with LG on its first foldable, which could be an iPad or an iPad/iPhone hybrid of sorts and come out no earlier than 2025.
to this speculation, the details remain as slim as you'd expect from something unlikely to commercially materialize anytime soon.In a nutshell, all we"know" right now is that LG is working closely together withto develop a foldable OLED panel designed for"tablets and notebooks with ultra-thin glass as the cover window instead of polyimide."
Based on that unsurprisingly vague description, it's obviously impossible to say if Apple plans to use said LG-made panel for a foldable iPad or MacBook first, but fortunately, that's where star analyst, anticipating a"medium" size comes before a"large" product, which in turn beats a"small" size in the"priority order" of Apple's foldable development.
In other words, a foldable iPad is likely to come out first, followed by a foldable MacBook and finally a foldable iPhone of some sort waaaaay down the line.
