Netflix is rolling out subscription price cuts in more than 100 markets around the world, impacting more than 10 million subscribers.
This news comes via Ampere Analysis research manager Toby Holleran, who wrote in a note this week that Netflix is slashing monthly subscription pricing in more than 100 territories worldwide. In some cases, the prices are being cut by as much as half.Importantly, this is primarily happening in emerging markets, which have a lower average revenue per user figure.
The subscription price drops — which Netflix is announcing locally, rather than via a sweeping global communication — also comes as the company is looking to bring in more revenue from users who’d previouslyDriving subscriber growth with price cuts
