All Bradford County schools and offices will be closed Wednesday through Friday.
The Tampa Bay area was the first to announce school closures. More than 15 school districts along the western Gulf Coast — including those in Hillsborough, Manatee, and Pinellas counties — announced Monday afternoon they will close for at least one day this week with many deciding to Tuesday through Thursday. Classes at the University of South Florida are also canceled Monday through Thursday.
Nunn said as much as 12 inches of rain could fall in these rural areas, which has the potential to make dirt roads impassable for school buses.
