The assaults occurred over several years beginning in the early 1980s, investigators said.
Katherine Clements pleaded guilty on Jan. 20 to second degree sexual assault and now faces up to 10 years in state prison when she is scheduled to be sentenced on May 5, the office said. Under the terms of the plea agreement, a judge will determine the length of her prison term.
The investigation began in 2018 after the victim contacted the Medford Township Police Department to report the assaults, authorities said. The victim’s current age and age at the time of the assaults were not released by the office. Detectives confirmed the allegations and determined that they occurred over a period of nine years, the office said.
No other details about the investigation were released in order to protect the identity of the victim, prosecutors said.
