Hello, Mr. Pickles was my name. Still is, as far as I’m concerned. I was a puppy, and a teenager in Cincinnati and I got rescued from there. Me and my only toy got driven up to Rocky River. My new mom’s name is Fran. She let me out into a great fenced-in yard. We even have an indoor-outdoor dog run. Fran said I could sleep up on her bed, long as I had my own blanket. By the way, people have called me a fighting Bully. I look like them, with little ears and a tail I carry curved over my back.
By the time I had some other walkers, I had it figured out. Lots of people thought I was a fighting Bully. I loved my family, mostly just Fran. But I was so lonesome, regarded as I was, as dangerous. Then things changed. A pretty lady down the street started to bring a lady dog, Belle down to visit me in my yard. Belle is gorgeous, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We had wiggle-body, tail-thumping visits. I even got an invitation to Belle’s birthday party! After that, I could feel the change.
