Many people showed up at Mount Sinai's main hospital this morning to learn their surgeries had to be rescheduled because of an electrical fire. JohnBDias has their reactions:
The fire also damaged the building's electrical supply, so only emergency surgeries are being performed Friday, no elective ones.
"It's a two hour drive for us. We came down last night, spent a night in the hotel," Dipaul said."It's a big issue for him. He has to go under general anesthesia, he can't eat the night before." "Everything else, they send me texts and emails. But this, to cancel it, no. And I really need to get this done," said Jose Ruiz, of Chelsea.
