Motorcyclist, 27, killed in early morning crash in Escondido [Breaking]
A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Friday morning when he lost control of the motorcycle and slammed into a chain-link fence in central Escondido, police said.
The crash happened just after 2:45 a.m. at South Date Street and East 5th Avenue, Escondido police said in a news release. The man was riding with another motorcyclist when he crashed. Witnesses rendered medical aid until police arrived and took over the attempt to save his life, the department said.His name was not released to allow authorities time to notify his family.
Police are investigating the crash, and asked anyone with information about what happened to call Officer Tyler Herrmann at 839-4911.
