The State Highway Patrol says Alec Bartell, 22, of Radnor, died in the crash and a 28-year-old Delaware, Ohio, man was seriously injured in the crash in Marion County.
MARION, Ohio — A 22-year-old Delaware County man was killed early Wednesday morning and a passenger was seriously injured when a motorcycle struck a piece of construction equipment parked on the road, according to the State Highway Patrol.
The patrol says Alec Bartell of Radnor was driving a 1998 Harley Davidson Sportster X88 west on Water Street in Prospect Township when the crash occurred just after 1 a.m. Bartell was pronounced dead at the scene. A 28-year-old man from Delaware who was a passenger on the motorcycle was flown by helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with serious injuries. Neither man was wearing a helmet, the patrol says.
