Following the death of a customer of the Moose Jaw Paratransit system, an investigation is underway and the bus involved taken from service.
“The City of Moose Jaw is deeply saddened to report that at approximately 12:20 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2022, a Paratransit customer passed away in a tragic incident involving the City’s Paratransit bus,” states a news release issued Tuesday morning.
Neither the releases from the City of Moose Jaw nor the police provided any further details about the deceased, including age or gender, or an explanation of how the incident occurred or the injuries were sustained. “We commend Medavie Health ServicesWest—Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw Fire Department, staff at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital and the Moose Jaw Police Service for their quick response to the scene,” it continues.
“This is a difficult time for all involved, and the City awaits the results of the investigation,” the release adds.
