Montecito’s is an Italian restaurant from New York City chef Kashawn Cruell.

New York native Kashawn Cruell is the chef-partner at Montecito’s, a coming-soon restaurant in University Park.Kashawn Cruell, a chef who helped open the famous Italian restaurant Carbone in New York City, will lead the kitchen at new University Park spot Montecito’s. The restaurant is expected to open in Snider Plaza in the first quarter of 2024.

The 33-year-old chef describes Montecito’s cuisine as “lighter-fare Italian food,” with house-made pastas, pizzas, seafood and salads on the menu.
