Monte Vista’s Jake Haener, San Jose State/St. Francis defensive end Viliami Fehoko are selected in fourth round of NFL Draft.
Jake Haener will have a familiar face in the New Orleans Saints quarterback room.
Carr signed a four-year contract worth a maximum of $150 million with the Saints after being released following an eight-year career with the Raiders. At the NFL Scouting Combine, Haener talked about the “elite standard” set by Carr, Davante Adams and others at Fresno State. “I’m hearing mid-third round to fourth round, probably about 85 percent I’ll go in Rounds 3, 4, maybe in the fifth,” Haener said. “I think I’m in that 3 to 5 range.”
