Former big-leaguer José Iglesias hit for the cycle on Wednesday, leading Triple-A El Paso to a 10-4 win at Round Rock.
The 33-year-old veteran hit his first home run as a Chihuahuas in the first inning. He doubled in a run in the second, singled in the third and tripled in a run in the ninth, giving him three RBIs on the day.
Through 17 games since signing a minor league deal, Iglesias is hitting .290/.359/.464 with 11 RBIs while seeing time at shortstop and second base . doubled in two runs in six at-bats in continuing to rehab his quad injury, while left fielderRight fielder struck out four and allowed a run on two hits and two walks in five innings in the win.
